Dr. Irshad Ahmad was born in Darbhanga, Bihar. He completed his Bachelor of Science in Chemistry and M.Sc. in Analytical Chemistry from Department of Chemistry, Aligarh Muslim University. He Obtained Ph.D. degree from Department of Applied Sciences and Humanities, Jamia Millia Islamia University, New Delhi-25. His research thesis entitled as "Synthesis and Characterization of Molecularly lmprinted Nanomaterials for the Removal of Heavy Metals From Aqueous Solutions". He have published several research papers in SCI and peer reviewed Journals.

From the year 2019 to 2022, He served as an Assistant Professor (Guest Faculty) in the Department of Applied Sciences and Humanities, University Polytechnic, Faculty of Engineering and Technology, Jamia Millia Islamia University. New Delhi-25.

Since 2022, Dr. Irshad Ahmad has been working as an Assistant Professor (Contractual) in the Department of Chemistry, C.M. Science College, Lalit Narayan Mithila University (LNMU) Darbhanga.

His current research interests include the traces of toxic metals entities from the aqueous medium for the treatment of ground water, industrial effluents, rivers, etc. His research group mainly work on recovering the trace elements impurities from aqueous solution by the implications of metal oxides Ml-Nanomaterials. He has been also worked on some instrumentation techniques such as- DTA, TGA, DSC, XRD, SEM-EDX, HR-TEM, AAS, GSC, HPLC, UV- Visible Spectrophotometer, Solvent Extraction Unit, BET Surface Area Analyzer, Sol-Gel method, Solvothermal and Hydrothermal Synthesis, Hydraulic Press Machine, Distillation Assembly Unit.

His  innovative work has been published in leading peer-reviewed journals such as Journal of Materials Research and Technology (JMRT), Journal of Materials Science and Chemical Engineering (msce), Materials Research Foundations (MOFs), Wiley-Scrivener, Elsevier, Journal of Nanostructured Chemistry (JNC). He served as an reviewer and editorial board member in some SCI and peer reviewed Journals.
