Dr. Vishwa Deepak Tripathi is an accomplished academician and medicinal chemist with extensive experience spanning teaching, research, and pharmaceutical industry. He currently serves as Assistant Professor and Head of the Department of Chemistry at C. M. Science College, Darbhanga, where he teaches UG and PG students, supervises Ph.D. scholars, and coordinates institutional quality assurance activities. He earned his Ph.D. from the Central Drug Research Institute (CDRI), Lucknow, with research focused on the design and synthesis of medicinally active heterocycles. His international research exposure includes a prestigious CEFIPRA Postdoctoral Fellowship in Toulouse, France, working on biocompatible dendrimers for tuberculosis therapy. Dr. Tripathi has also contributed significantly to drug development at Zydus Cadila R&D, being involved in the development and scale-up of Saroglitazar and other APIs. He has published 46 research papers, holds multiple patents, and has authored/edited several books, with research interests in medicinal chemistry, process chemistry, and natural product-inspired synthesis.
